Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is leaving for New York tomorrow (Sunday) to lead Pakistan’s delegation at the General Assembly Session of the United Nations.
The Prime Minister will address the General Assembly session on Friday in which he will highlight Pakistan’s foreign policy guidelines‚ its point of view on various regional and international issues besides domestic priorities. The Prime Minister in his address to the General Assembly will also apprise the session on the efforts of the present government to curb the menace of terrorism besides its endeavour to bring stability to the region.
During his weeklong stay in the New York‚ the Prime Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with world leaders on the sidelines of the General Assembly session. He will discuss various bilateral and regional issues with these leaders.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is also expected to attend various events during his stay in New York including high-level meetings on millennium development goals‚ sustainable development and nuclear disarmament.
