Lahore: A representative delegation of China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC), led by its Vice President and Secretary General Gao Young called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at Chief Minister’s Office, here today.
Assistant President and Chairman China Knitting Industrial Association Yang Shibin, Vice Chairman China National Garments Association Feng Dehu, other office-bearers, Advisor to CM Ejaz Nabi, Members Assembly, Chairman Planning & Development, Vice Chairman Punjab Investment Board, renowned industrialists and concerned authorities were present on the occasion.
Talking to the delegation, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that vast opportunities of investment in Pakistan’s garments industry exist. He said that Punjab government would set up a separate industrial zone. He said that Pakistan has manpower while China has expertise in technology. He said that every possible facility would be provided to Chinese investors in Pakistan. Shahbaz Sharif said that special force is being established for the security of foreigners.
Vice President of CNTAC, Gao Yong said that this is best time to invest in Pakistan. He said that Pak-China cooperation in garments industry would prove to be useful for both the countries. He expressed satisfaction that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is taking personal interest in the promotion of garments industry.
