Lahore: The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) marked the Anti-Dengue Day on Sunday by organizing public awareness activities and preventive measures for Dengue eradication in all Districts of Punjab in line with the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
In this regard, all offices of Punjab Emergency Service in all over the Punjab were remained open on Sunday and rescuers hold Dengue awareness walk from all rescue stations to sensitize public about dengue virus. The rescue teams visited shops and residential area to check and highlighted breeding areas for dengue mosquitoes and preventive measure against it.
The Director General, Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Dr. Rizwan Naseer reviewed dengue arrangements and activities here in a meeting held at Rescue 1122 Headquarters. The meeting was attended by in-charges of different wings of Rescue Service whereas the District Emergency Officers of Punjab were taken on board through video conference, who shared their experiences and activities in their relevant districts. DG Rescue Punjab Dr. Rizwan Naseer also reviewed pictorial data of all districts regarding anti-dengue campaign and awareness messages displayed on emergency vehicles & Rescue Stations across the Province. DG Rescue Punjab also issued directions that cleanliness should be ensured throughout the year and anti-dengue measures should be taken on periodical basis so that we could lead towards dengue free society. The Director General, Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) directed all station coordinators to ensure cleanliness of rescue stations and vehicles.
