Lahore: An Anti-Dengue Walk/conducted at Aziz Bhatti Town from Mughalpura Pull to Lal Pull on the occasion of Anti-Dengue Day for the awareness of the public which was leaded by the Assistant Commissioner Cantt. Nabeela Farooq. The officers and officials of health, education, social welfare, NGOs and a large number of people for every walk of life participated in this walk.
At the end of the walk Assistant Commissioner Cantt. Nabeela Farooq addressed to the participants and said that according to the direction by the Chief Minister Punjab the purpose of conducting this Anti-Dengue Day walk is to persuade the public awareness, so that they assured the elimination of dengue along with the government. She said that Chief Minister Punjab doing efforts day and night for healthy Punjab and also taking priority measures for healthy atmosphere without diseases. She said, with the elimination of the dengue can be assured with the organized way, good strategy and exemplary collaboration between the government and the public.
She said that Punjab government has provided all possible resources, so that, quickly control on dengue can be done.It is the need of hour to aware the public opinion regarding anti-dengue steps so that the people can be able to stop the flourishing the larva of dengue at their houses, offices, factories parks and other places. Government will award two thousand rupees cash to the person who will indicate the presence of larva, although information about the presence of larva can be given on the Tel. No. 0800-02345 also. The participants of walk hold the banners during the walk.
At the end of walk participants distributed the awareness pamphlets about the anti-dengue measures among the pedestrians, shopkeeper’s drivers and others.
