Administration remain out to rescue Lahorites on Independence Day

Lahore : Provincial Minister for Food, Bilal Yasin visited various areas of the city to review the arrangements made for drainage of rainwater. Commissioner Lahore Division Imdad Ullah Bosal, DCO Lahore Nasim Sadiq and WASA authorities accompanied the Minister.

The Minister inspected Bhatti Chowk, Karim Park, Lakshmi Chowk, Nabha Road, Hall Road, Mozang Chungi, Shadman, Gulberg, Shah Jamal, Liberty Market, Hussain Chowk, Do-Moria Pul, Davis Road, Qartaba Chowk, Mcleod Road, Nisbat Road, Circular Road, Aziz Road, Chowk Nakhuda, Istanbol Chowk and Gol Bagh and directed WASA officials to immediately remove water from all low-lying areas so that citizens should not face any difficulty due to rainwater.

DCO Lahore Nasim Sadiq informed the Minister that disposal of water is being made through dewatering pumps from the low-lying areas while succor machines are working on all important roads. He further informed that generators are available on all disposal stations of the city which will be run in case of failure of electricity.
