Spirit of 1947 should be revived:Ch Shujaat Hussain,Ch Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain, senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi and senior leader Moonis Elahi have said that existence of all of us is linked with the existence of Pakistan, today there is need to revive the 1947 spirit again in the nation.

In their messages of felicitations on the Independence Day, the PML leaders have said that in order to transform Pakistan into an Islamic welfare State we would have to embrace each other by sinking all creed, regional and sectarian prejudices and biases and adhering to the golden principles of Unity, Faith and Discipline of the Founder of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. They said that for safeguarding solidarity and security of Pakistan and to bring into national mainstream annoyed patriotic groups, distances will have to be changed into togetherness.

They said further that every Pakistani is concerned over the situation in Pakistan, people are worried and grieved due to incidents of terrorism everywhere, lawlessness and soaring prices of essential and other articles, there is dire need today that we all should struggle for solidarity, progress and prosperity of Pakistan and solving the peoples’ problems.

The PML leaders further said that that the role of Pakistan Army and security institutions in internal security and defending the borders is quite appreciable and entire nation has great respect and regards for their sacrifices.

They said that we should bow before Almighty Allah today, seek forgiveness for our shortcomings and faults and sincerely pledge to serve the nation and the country and pray for security, strength and progress of Pakistan.
