Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has offered cooperation to Sindh government to control dengue. He said that Punjab government is ready to extend all out cooperation to Sind government for the eradication of dengue in Karachi and medical experts, doctors and para-medical staff can also be sent to Karachi in this regard.
Shahbaz Sharif directed the Chief Secretary to contact Sindh government and inform him in this regard. The Chief Minister today presided over a meeting in connection with eradication of dengue in Punjab which lasted for about four hours. He showed his anguish for not making timely measures by some departments and directed to implement the measures taken during 2011-12 for elimination of dengue in letter and spirit also this year. He said that a system has been evolved in this regard which should work automatically. He said that strict action will be taken against the institution or the department showing dereliction of duty.
