Allama Iqbal Hockey Team wins exhibition match

Lahore: Sports Board Punjab’s stepped forward to celebrate Independence Day here at National Hockey Stadium,Lahore. The exhibition Hockey competition was held in connection with the upcoming I’dependence Day’s celebration in which the Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Mohammed Saqib Aziz was the Chief Guest while Director General Sports Punjab Dr.Mohammed Saleh Tahir was alongwith him.

The competition started between two teams named Quaid-e-Azam’s  and Allama Iqbal’s . Allama Iqbal’s Umair Aziz hit 3 goals ,one in the first twenty minutes,second goal in fifty-two while third goal in fifty-fourth minute to win the match by 3-2. Abid Bhatti of Quaid-e-Azam scored 2 goals at fifty-one and fifty-three minute each.The  Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Mohammed Saqib Aziz distributed  the cash prizes and  trophies to both teams.

Director General Sports Punjab Dr Mohammed Saleh Tahir appreciated the team’s spirit to celebrate Independence Day wholeheartedly.
