Lahore: Ameer Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan and JI Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch, have said the present government had gone much ahead of the Zardari government in accepting IMF’s anti people terms to secure fresh loans and also for raising the electricity tariff.
Reacting to the government decision, the JI leadership said that within a week of the approval of the federal budget, a fresh mini budget had been announced. They stressed that the conditions of loans from the IMF or other financial institutions must be subject to the approval of the parliament.
Syed Munawar Hasan remarked that the beggars could not dictate their terms. He said the PML(N) leadership in its election campaign, had been criticizing the previous regime for the terms of its agreements but it was agreeing to the same . He advised the present rulers to go through their own past statements on the issues.
