Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that Prime Minister’s Special Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz’s meeting with the Indian Foreign Minister in Brunei on CBMs with India was clearly against the nation’s accepted and principled stance.
Addressing the JI central office bearers here on Wednesday, he said that the nation wont permit the rulers to accept India as MFN or promote trade with that country unless it accepted Kashmir as a disputed territory and agreed to solve the issue in accordance with the UN resolutions.
Addressing the central office bearers of the JI at Mansoora on Wednesday, he said that the dispute between India and Pakistan was not that of the fishermen’s release. The primary issue between the two neighbours was that of Kashmir which India claimed as its integral part. India, he said, had been grossly violating human rights in Kashmir and continuing on the massacre of the Kashmiri men, women and children for decades, but the Pakistani rulers were anxious to befriend that country. He said, the import of electricity or gas from that country would be axing our own feet.
Referring to the situation in Egypt, the JI Secretary General said that the international conspiracies against the Islamic government in the Muslim country were on peak. The US and Israel were destabilizing Egypt in order to uproot the party that came to power through popular vote only a year ago. The US was making every effort to divide the strength of the Arab world simply to protect Israel and prolong the unlawful occupation of the Zionists over Palestine.
He stressed upon the Muslim world to foil the enemy plans through its unity.
