Lahore: Indian High Commissioner Sharat Sabharwal called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at Model Town today. Provincial Ministers Ch. Sher Ali Khan, Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Members National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, Pervaiz Malik and Advisor Azm-ul-Haq were also present on the occasion. Matters of mutual interest and promotion of bilateral relations came under discussion during the meeting.
Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif while talking to Indian High Commissioner said that relations of Pakistan and India should be based on principle of peaceful co-existence and both the countries have to resolve all their disputes through dialogue. He said that wars gave nothing except destruction and we will have to look at the future by forgetting the past. He said that time has come for both the countries to compete in the economic field. Indian High Commissioner Sharat Sabharwal said that India desires good neighbourly relations with Pakistan.
