SHAHBAZ SHARIF STRESSES TO ACCELERATE WORK ON NANDIPUR POWER PROJECT

Lahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that in view of the serious energy crisis, power generation projects would be completed speedily. He said that every moment is precious for completing 425 megawatt Nandipur power project, therefore, we have to complete this project expeditiously without any loss of time. The Chief Minister directed that inspection of all machinery and equipments of Nandipur power project should be carried-out on time so that work on this project could be started without any delay.

He was presiding over a high-level meeting with regard to Nandipur power project in Islamabad today. Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Water & Power Kh. Muhammad Asif, officers of Ministry of Water & Power and other officials, Vice President of Chinese company, Dong Fang Electric Company constructing Nandipur power project  Mr. Zhang Guorong, Manager Nandipur power project Mr. Chen Youping, GM Marketing Mr. Wang Wie and other members of the delegation were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the meeting Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that deep friendly relations exist between China and Pakistan. He said that cooperation of China in the uplift of various sectors of Pakistan is laudable. He said that with the cooperation of Chinese company Nandipur power project would also be completed speedily.
