Raja Ashfaq Sarwar suspends MS Nawaz Sharif Hospital

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Labour, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has suspended Medical Superintendent Nawaz Sharif Social Security Hospital for showing negligence in duty and not making newly purchased machinery and equipment functional. 

 He issued these instructions while presiding over a high level meeting to review the working of Nawaz Sharif Social Security Hospital today. Secretary Labour Muhammad Yousuf, Director Purchase and Cardiologist Nawaz Sharif Social Security Hospital were also present on the occasion. The Minister took serious notice of non-functioning of new equipment including angiography machine. He directed Secretary Labour to submit him a report after completing inquiry into the matter within one week so that strict disciplinary action could be initiated against the responsible.

Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, is taking all possible steps to provide health facilities to the labourers and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard. He directed Medical Advisors to visit all social security hospitals in the province and submit him a report regarding functioning of machinery and equipment.
