Minister have to bribe Camp Jail staff to visit a prisoner

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Prisons, Ch. Abdul Waheed Arain has suspended Assistant Superintendent, Kashif Rasool, Head Warder Latif Shah, Warders Sajid Hussain and Ranjha Khan on taking bribe of Rs.1300 from him for arranging meeting with a prisoner in Camp Jail today. He has also ordered to issue show cause notice to the Superintendent.

According to the details, Provincial Minister went to Camp Jail as an ordinary citizen and asked for a meeting with a prisoner. Money was demanded from the Minister and nor his identity card and mobile were checked. Provincial Minister gave an amount of Rs.1300 as a bribe for this purpose.

Abdul Waheed Arain warned that he will conduct surprise visits throughout the province and the corrupt staff will be transferred. Provincial Minister summoned IG Prisons, DIG and Superintendent and issued strict instructions.
