Provincial Minister Forests visits Jallo Park

Lahore: Provincial Minister Forests, Wildlife and Fisheries Malik Muhammad Asif Bha Awan has said that private sector will be motivated for investment to provide international standard facilities at Jallo Park so that inexpensive and quality recreational facilities could be provided to the visitors.

This was stated by him during the inspection of Jallo Park. Malik Muhammad Asif Bha Awan was informed that about 15 lakh people visits Jallo Park annually but due to shortage of funds, administrative problems are being faced. The Minister directed the department to present a feasibility report in this regard.

Reviewing security measures in the park Malik Muhammad Asif Bha Awan directed that besides making proper lighting arrangements at important places CCTV cameras should also be installed so that a sense of security could be created among the visitors. He directed the officers of Wildlife to create a favorable atmosphere for the animals brought from different countries as well as pay attention to their food. He said that the caged birds and animals are completely at the mercy of administration, therefore, their proper look after is their prime responsibility.
