Lahore: Secretary Health Punjab Hassan Iqbal today paid a surprise visit to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and inquired after the children under treatment at children ward. The doctors on duty informed the Secretary that presently no patient, suffering from measles, is under treatment in the hospital, however, 10 to 12 children affected by measles are daily coming to outdoor.
Secretary Health also visited children emergency, outdoor and ICU ward. The doctors informed Secretary Health that majority of under-treatment children is suffering from dysentery. The secretary also inquired from the attendants of the patients about the treatment facilities and provision of free medicines on which they told the secretary that free medicines are being provided to their children in the hospital and the patients are properly looked after.
