21-member Punjab Cabinet takes oath


Lahore:  A 21-member Punjab cabinet took oath at Governor House today. Governor Punjab Makhdoom Syed Ahmed Mehmood administered the oath to the cabinet. Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif was also present on the occasion. Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Members National and Provincial Assembly, Chief Secretary Punjab, Acting Inspector General Police, government officials, Muslim League leaders and a large number of workers were present on the occasion. Those who took oath as provincial ministers include Rana Sanaullah Khan, Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan, Atta Muhammad Manika, Malik Nadeem Kamran, Col. Retd. Shuja Khanzada, Tanvir Aslam Malik, Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Zakiya Shahnawaz, Hamida Waheed-ud-Din, Abdul Waheed Chaudhary, Bilal Yasin, Iqbal Channar, Dr. Farrukh Javed, Raja Ishfaq Sarwar, Yawar Zaman, Asif Malik, Sher Ali Khan, Asif Saeed Khan Manais, Syed Haroon Ahmed Sultan, Chaudhary Muhammad Shafique and Tahir Khalil Sindhu.

CM PUNJAB cabinet oath

Congratulating the members of provincial cabinet, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif expressed the hope that they will come up to the expectations of the people and discharge their responsibilities efficiently. Talking to media on the occasion, he said that all areas of the province have been given representation in the cabinet. He said that experienced, hardworking and capable persons have been inducted in the cabinet who will work round the clock for resolving public problems.

Replying to a question, Shahbaz Sharif reiterated that all resources would be provided for solution of people’s problems and development and prosperity of the country. Earlier, when the Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif arrived at the Governor’s House, Governor Punjab Makhdoom Syed Ahmed Mehmood welcomed him and both the leaders held a meeting. Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan and Rana Sanaullah Khan were also present on the occasion.
