Ombudsman takes suo-moto notice on pensioners problems

Lahore: Provincial Ombudsman Javed Mahmood has taken suo-moto notice on media reports regarding problems being faced by the pensioners in Faisalabad.

He has directed Accountant General Punjab and Secretary Finance Punjab to visit the site and review the matters personally and submit their reports within seven days to “Mohtasib Punjab Pension Cell”.

He has also directed them to hold an inquiry against the unjust attitude meted out to the pensioners by the staff of District Accounts Office, Faisalabad.
