Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has expressed his displeasure over the showering of rose petals by a private plane on the occasion of oath-taking ceremony at Governor’s House yesterday.
He said that it is time to work and a poor nation cannot afford such extravagance. Issuing instructions to his staff to convey his displeasure to the concerned persons, the Chief Minister said that he does not agree to this argument that Punjab government was not involved in this act.
He said although some persons arranged this show at the individual level to celebrate oath-taking of the Chief Minister, yet Pakistan Muslim League (N) also expects from its supporters to follow its policy of austerity and simplicity.
