Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has called for a review of the foreign and domestic policies to restore peace in the country.
Addressing a workers convention in the city on Tuesday, he said that any offer for talks from the Taliban should be taken seriously despite opposition from the US which did not want the warring parties to cease fire and come to negotiation table.
Liaqat Baloch also underlined the need to counter the lobby within the country that was supporting the US policies, and said the elements serving the enemy interest were the biggest problem for the country.
The JI leader also denounced the load shedding up to twenty hours a day in most of the rural areas and said this was making life difficult for the people there.
