Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that the PML(N)’s election slogan of recovery of the ill gotten billions from President Zardari should not die down after Mian Nawaz Sharif’s meeting with the President.
Talking to the media at Kot Momin during a visit there on Thursday, he said the nation was ignorant of what had transpired at the one on one meeting of Mian Nawaz. However, he said, that corruption had crippled the country’s economy while load shedding had deepened the unemployment problem. If the newly elected rulers were unable to overcome the energy crisis and control corruption, the nation would be disappointed.
Liaqat Baloch said that Chinese Premier’s visit to the country would further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries, and added that handing over of Gowadar port to China would be in great national interest.
He further said if India agreed to solve the Kashmir issue in the light of the UN resolutions, the region would emerge as a strong economic power.
