Fahmeeda Mushtaq reviews the performance Social Welfare and Baitul Mall Punjab

Lahore: Secretary Social Welfare and Baitul Mall Punjab Mrs. Fahmeeda Mushtaq has said that helplines should be established in all district offices of Social Welfare Department and awareness should be created among the public through a publicity campaign about the social services of the department.

While, presiding over a high level meeting to review the performance of the department and steps to be taken for further improvement, Mrs. Fahmeeda Mushtaq said that Social Welfare Department is a very authentic organization for providing social services and the institutions working under its control are rendering invaluable services for rehabilitation and serving the ailing humanity. She said that a comprehensive publicity campaign is utmost essential for the awareness about the services being provided by the department. She particularly directed district officers to extend the scope of social services and evolve a plan for permanent social and economic rehabilitation of helpless, needy, old, children and women and NGOs and philanthropists should be provided guidance in this regard. Director Admin. Abdul Quddus Akhtar, Director Programme Hafiz Akram, Director Planning M. Suleman, Sheikh Tanvir Ahmed and other officers were also present.
