Lahore: Ameer Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hassan, has
said the care taker government fully knew the elements behind terrorism and its failure to apprehend the culprits was a question mark on the performance of the government and the security organizations. He was addressing a big election rally at Takht Bhai, in Mardan, on Tuesday.
Syed Munawar Hasan called upon the government and the Election Commission to take notice of the statements by the MQM leaders who wanted postponement of the elections. He said, if the thieves, dacoits, fake degrees holders and plunderers returned to the assemblies once again, the masses would lose confidence in the elections, the infuriated masses would come on roads and no one would be able to obstruct revolution.
Syed Munawar Hasan was confident that the JI would not only form government in the Khyber Pakhtoon Khwa but even the federal government could not be formed sans the JI. He further said that the JI wanted the supremacy of the Shariah in all walks of life , and added that unless and until, the supremacy of the Quran and the Sunnah was established in the country, injustice and tyranny could not be wiped out.
He said the feudal lords, capitalists and the elite had been ruling the country for the last 65 years and had made the people’s life miserable. There was poverty, price spiral, unemployment and lawlessness all around. Load shedding had upset the life of the people. He said that the JI had, from the very first day, opposed military operation and argued that this would only increase terrorism. Time had proved the JI was right.
He said that the care taker government, instead of curbing terrorism, had compromised with the situation and hurt the confidence of the masses. Accordingly, the people thought that bomb blasts were occurring due to the inefficiency of the care takers and security agencies.
