Lahore: Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute Prof. Anjum Habib Vohra has said that with the establishment of new diagnostic centre for heart patients at a cost of Rs.1.07 crore, the services available at Lahore General Hospital have further extended and this revolutionary step would go a long way to provide medical facilitation to heart patients.
He expressed these views on the occasion of inaugurating modern equipment of Echocardiography, Halter Monitoring and ETT at Medical Unit-III at Lahore General Hospital. The event was attended by Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, Prof. Ghayas-un-Nabi Tayyab, Prof. Agha Shabbir Ali, Prof. Ejaz Hussain, Prof. Khalid Bashir, Dr. Rafique Basharat, Dr. Israr-ul-Haq Toor, Dr. Sheraz Anjum and other doctors.
Assistant Prof. Dr. Rafad Ahmed will be the incharge of newly established diagnostic centre while Dr. Aadil and Dr. Tahair-ul-Islam will assistant him.
Talking to the media, Prof. Anjum Habib Vohra further said that doctors who will operate the modern machinery have been trained by Agha Khan University Karachi so that they could extend their services skillfully. He said that all possible measures are being taken for up gradation and improvement of services standard at Lahore General Hospital. He said that before the establishment of diagnostic centre at Lahore General Hospital, the heart patients were facing great difficulties but through the personal interest of Secretary Health Cap. (Retd.) Arif Nadeem, Punjab government has solved this chronic problem of the people. He said that like other departments at Lahore General Hospital Diagnostic Centre would also provide medical facilities free of cost to deserving and poor patients.
