Shamshad Begum passed away

Lahore:Prominent artist Shamshad Begum has passed away. Punjab Chief Minister Najam Sethi has expressed deep sense of grief and sorrow over her death and said that she had a distinctive voice and a unique style of singing.

Najam Sethi said that the songs of Shamshad Begum are still very popular and her death has created a void in the field of art.

The Chief Minister prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal and grant courage and strength to the members of the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.
