Shahbaz Sharif is responsible for loadshedding:Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League senior central leader, former Deputy Prime Minister and candidate from NA-105 Gujrat Ch Pervaiz Elahi has said that Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif during their five years tenure had not wasted huge amount of Rs 140 billion on flop schemes and invested this money in power projects then there would have been no load shedding in Punjab today.

Addressing a big public meeting in Shah Dola Town, Gujrat today, Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that for securing cheap reputation, Sharif Brothers dumped Rs 70 billion on 27 kilometers long “Jangla” Bus project in Lahore while billions more were wasted on flop schemes including Tandoor, Ashiana, Yellow Cab, Danish and other scheme but none of them benefitted the people and the province was also destroyed economically. He said that what measures we had taken for service of the people, and economic progress maintenance of law and order and protecting life and property of the people, the govt of so-called “Khadam-e-A’ala” stopped these all instead of carrying these onward as a result of which law and order situation in the province deteriorated and crime rate increased ten times.

Ch Pervaiz  Elahi said that they had also ended the power generation projects we had started adding that if Sharif Brothers had not failed Ch Shujat Hussain formula for provision of electricity, there would have been load shedding today in the province only for two hours He said that N-League only does politics of vindictiveness and falsehood, we had constructed a modern Cardiology Hospital in Wazirabad at a cost of Rs two billion for the people of Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Mandi Bahauddin and other areas but they did not provide doctors and equipment there for five years to make it functional. He said because of this hospital not being made functional, thousands of heart patients lost their lives for not getting timely medical assistance and only Sharif Brothers are responsible for that.

Continuing, Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that we keep our heads low and always seek blessings of Almighty Allah, we cannot forget kindness of the people of Gujrat all our life who honoured us and for this, on coming into power we served common man and the poor. He welcomed N-League Gujrat district office-bearers Misbah Shehzad Baig and Anwar Bhatti on joining Pakistan Muslim League. He said that Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif have only usurped the rights of the people and N-League did nothing for them during its five years rule. He asked N-League rulers to name any project which they had started for the welfare of the people, we had set up Gujrat University and will establish High school and girls college and hospital at Garhi Ahmedabad, Gujrat.

Shahbaz Sharif did not provide staff to 42 educational institutions we had established, he added. On coming in power again with the cooperation of the people we will start these institutions. He said that cycle is a wheel of progress, is used by the poor and symbol of progress and destination of Pakistan adding that Shahbaz Sharif had destroyed Punjab by stopping foreign investment, Speaking on the occasion, former Provincial Education Minister Mian Imran Masood said that our colleagues were lured, harassed and false cases instituted against them for breaking of the party of Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Pervaiz Elahi but they remained steadfast, Ch Pervaiz Elahi is struggling for the rights of the people of Punjab, he worked hard day and night as the Chief Minister for progress and development of the province, now it is the duty of the people to vote for their benefactor as well as the candidates of Chaudhry Brothers to ensure his victory in the elections with big majority Thousands of people present raised their hands and pledged they will vote for Ch Pervaiz Elahi who was earlier on arrival at the venue of public meeting was enthusiastically and warmly welcomed.

Those seated on the stage on the occasion included Ch Ejaz Ahmad Warraich, Ch Riaz Ahmad Warraich, Dr Asif Javed Warraich, Dr Ansar, Syed Anwar Shah, Ch Mazhar Nat, Ch Pervez Bashir, Amjad Butt, Safdar Sindhu, Saeed Shahid Shah, Syed Aqeel Shah, Ali Ahmad and other notables.
