Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Najam Sethi has said that the fundamental responsibility of caretaker government is to ensure conduct of fair, free, transparent and peaceful elections, and all necessary steps would be taken for this purpose. He said the caretaker government would discharge its national responsibility of holding impartial and transparent elections, in accordance with its mandate. He called upon caretaker provincial ministers to leave no stone unturned to serve the people, along with ensuring fair, free and impartial elections.
The Chief Minister expressed these views while talking to Provincial Minister for Cooperatives, Energy, Industry and Transport, Arif Ijaz here today. Chief Minister Najam Sethi said that the caretaker government is taking all out steps to provide relief to the common man.
He called upon provincial ministers to keep doors of their offices open in order to resolve the problems being faced by the people. Najam Sethi also directed provincial ministers to dispose of day-to-day matters of their concerned departments without any delay.erned departments without any delay.
