Punjab Social Welfare Department is helping the poor: Salima Hashmi

Lahore: Provincial Minister, Salima Hashmi has said that Punjab Social Welfare Department is playing an important role for the rehabilitation of poor and hapless people.

She was addressing a high level departmental meeting in the office of Secretary Social Welfare, which was also attended by Secretary Social Welfare Malik Tahir Sarfraz Awan, Director General Social Welfare, Malik Muhammad Aslam, Director Planning Muhammad Salman, Director Admin Abdul Qudoos Akhtar and Director Programmes Hafiz Muhammad Akram. The meeting reviewed in detail the short term project of Social Welfare and Bait ul Maal department for the poor.

Director General Social Welfare, Malik Muhammad Aslam gave briefing to the Minister regarding departmental affairs and informed about the services of the social welfare institutions for the deserving and poor persons.
