Lahore: A spokesman of Punjab government has strongly contradicted the news item published in various newspapers regarding removal of heads of various companies and authorities.
Terming the said news item as completely baseless and contrary to facts, the spokesman clarified that this impression is totally wrong that heads of various companies and authorities, operating under the Punjab government, have been sacked from their jobs.
The spokesman clarified that Chief Minister Punjab has issued no order to remove the heads of various companies and authorities employed in the former era on contract basis.
The spokesman further stated that under the austerity policy, the contracts of 12 officers working in various sections of Chief Minister’s Secretariat has been cancelled while officers working on deputation at CM Secretariat have been sent back to their parent departments.
Similarly, under austerity campaign, offices at 1-Club Road and 3-Club Road have been closed. The spokesman said that the officers working on contract basis in all companies and authorities would continue to perform their duties as per routine.
