CJ presides over a meeting of Administration Committee

Lahore: Chief Justice of Lahore High Court, Lahore, Mr. Justice Umar Ata Bandial presided over a meeting of Administration Committee in which idea of new High Court Benches in the Province floated by Government of Punjab was discussed. The Committee deliberated on the seven points sent by the Government of the Punjab for “evaluation”. It was observed in the meeting that before forming some opinion regarding “evaluation” all concerned stakeholders will be taken on board. It was also resolved in the meeting that Government of Punjab has not entered into

consultation with the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court but it was mere an evaluation” of these seven queries.

Consultation enjoys broader scope of getting proper opinion on the utility or the benefits of some issue where as evaluation is just implication or estimation of the given matter.
