Lahore: In order to provide relief and help poor and needy widows to meet their financial needs, the welfare trust has provided grant in the form of cash to more than 15 widows belonging to rural communities of Haripur and Federal capital on Saturday here. Under Income Support program, Begum Mehmooda Welfare Trust (BMWT) provides cash to these widows every month. These widows were registered for grant after a rigorous survey in the targeted areas. This is a regular feature of the Trust, in which widows are provided assistance.
Begum Mehmooda Welfare Trust has initiated this unique program to enable widows to fulfil their needs without burdening their dependents. This program has provided relief and comfort to the needy widows. Hina Fysal, Chief Executive & Co-Founder said, “Trust appreciates the contributions and sacrifices of widows in their lives, this assistance help them to meet their daily needs and it is again a financial security for them”.
Begum Mehmooda Welfare Trust (BMWT) is a not for profit organization established under Trust Act of Pakistan. This family-driven trust was purposely started and has been working since many years to bring positive and lasting changes to the people in need and distress.
