Special children are responsibility of society too:Zakia Shahnawaz

Lahore: Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister, Begum Zakia Shahnawaz has said that education and training of special children is the responsibility of parents, teachers and the society because they deserve our attention.

She said this while addressing annual prize distribution ceremony of Mohammadan Schools System arranged by Pak Special Welfare Trust at Alhamra Art Council, here today. She said that besides education and training of special children, special attention is given to make them true patriotic Pakistani in this institution. She said that like normal children, special children are an asset of our country.

Begum Zakia Shahnawaz emphasized upon the members of the society to cooperate with welfare organizations and the government in the rehabilitation of these children. She said that educational institutions are being set up for special children in all the districts of the province so that after completion of their studies they could become useful citizens of the society. On the occasion, special children presented colorful programmes. Later, Begum Zakia Shahnawaz distributed prizes among the special children.
