Lahore: Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister Begum Zakia Shahnawaz has said that distribution of laptops is an important achievement of the government for the promotion of education and equipping the students with modern knowledge.
She expressed these views while addressing laptops distribution ceremony at Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design opposite to Expo Center Johar Town, here today. Laptops were given to 156 male and female students of fashion design, fashion marketing, textile, jewelry, furniture and leather design on merit. Begum Zakia Shahnawaz stressed upon the students to utilize their capabilities for acquiring education as it is a key to success. She said that equal opportunities of development should be available to the women along with men. Social and legal protection should be ensured to the women, she added. She said that Punjab government has taken practical steps for the uplift of every sector during its five years’ tenure.
Vice Chancellor Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design, Professor Hina Tayyeba highlighted in detail the aims and objectives of the institution.
