Lahore: Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Senator Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has said that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken revolutionary steps for creating self-confidence and encouraging male and female students. He said that steps like guard of honour in Governor House Murree, study tours of international universities in Germany, France, Britain and Turkey, cash prizes, provision of educational scholarships from the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund and polishing their abilities through Punjab sports festival were taken.
He expressed these views while addressing the function of distribution of merit certificates among 138 divisional position holders of Punjab Youth Festival at Government College for Women, Dera Ghazi Khan. Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa said that present Punjab government spent 11.64 billion rupees on the development of district Dera Ghazi Khan during last four years which included Daanish schools, boy and girl centers of excellence, medical college, water supply, sewerage and construction of new roads. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif never rejected any desire of development of the district and expressed the hope that maximum funds will be taken from the next government for the development of the district. He stressed upon the people to elect those persons who should work for the development of the country and people of the area.
DCO Iftikhar Ali Sahu addressing the function said that young generation is the asset of the nation and their education and training demands maximum care. Former Chief Minister and Member Provincial Assembly Sirdar Dost Muhammad Khosa, Director Colleges Dr. Altaf Hussain, DO Colleges Mian Muhammad Afzal, Haji Allah Baksh Gopang, Aman Ullah Mastoi, heads of educational institutions, teachers and a large number of male and female students attended the function.
