A special function will be held on International Women Day

Lahore: Secretary Women Development Department Punjab, Irum Bukhari has said that a special function will be held in connection with International Women Day on March 8 which will be attended by national and foreign women delegates.

She was addressing a high level meeting at her office, here today. The meeting reviewed in detail implementation on Women Package 2012. The meeting expressed happiness over the implementation of women package in a very short period under the aegis of Provincial Women Development Department.

Irum Bukhari said that a briefing will be given to the participants regarding women package on this occasion. Besides civil society, people from all walks of life including women organizations from within the country and abroad will attend the ceremony in large numbers, she added. She said that first provincial ombudswoman Dr. Mira Phailbus will also participate as chief guest in the ceremony.
