Arrangments starts for another youth festival

Lahore: Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly and Chief Organizer Punjab Sports Festival Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan presided over a high level meeting and finalized the arrangements for holding 10-day youth festival. DG Sports Usman Anwar was also present in the meeting. Youth festival will continue from 3rd March to 13th March and the concluding ceremony will be held on March 14, in which cash prizes worth Rs.5 crore and certificates would be given to the wining players during the festival.

Rana Mashhood Ahmed apprized the concerned officers of Traffic, Information, Media, Security, clean drinking water, WAPDA, Civil Defence, 1122, PHA, protocol, WASA, Tourism, Health, education and other concerned departments of their responsibilities and directed to submit him a detailed plan with regard to the duties allocated to them. He informed the meeting that marathon race, cycling, street art, and events among parliamentarians and film actors are very important and the officers and officials of the concerned departments should discharge their duties diligently.

He said that the Gunnies Book team will stay in Lahore from 11th to 13th March in order to mention new world records and it will be ensured that the players of Punjab my set new world records. He said that entry for people will be free but special attention should be paid to foolproof security and traffic arrangements.
