Media has played an important role for restoration of democracy: Rana Muhammad Iqbal

Lahore: Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal has said that media has played an important role for restoration and continuity of democracy and creation of awareness among the masses. He said that despite challenges and limited resources, the future of the country is bright.

He expressed these views during a meeting with 36-member delegation of journalists from Sukkur Press Club at Punjab Assembly Cafeteria today. Rana Muhammad Iqbal said that Pakistan is making progress day by day with the cooperation and guidance of media. He said that the dream of foreign powers to damage Pakistan will never materialize. The Speaker said that the establishment of peace in all the four provinces is the real identity of Pakistan. He said that Pakistan has rendered great sacrifices for the elimination of terrorism and will continue to play this role. He said that Pakistan will be made invincible under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.

President Sukkur Press Club Lala Asad said that the pace of development in Punjab during the era of Shahbaz Sharif is unprecedented throughout the world. He said that metro bus project of Lahore is a historic step of Shahbaz Sharif and the same should be launched in other provinces. He said that the love of Punjab government will be remembered for a long time. President Press Club said that it is heartiest desire of people of Sindh that a leader like Shahbaz Sharif should be elected in Sindh who could make Sindh a developed province like Punjab.
