Lahore: A delegation of Fred Hollows Foundation Australia led by its Chairman Robert Dalziel, currently on a visit to College of Ophthalmology and Allied Vision Sciences (COAVS) King Edward Medical University, called on Secretary Health Punjab Arif Nadeem in his office, today. Principal Prof. Dr. Asad Aslam Khan was also present on the occasion.
The delegation exchanged views with the Secretary Health on the joint programmes of the Foundation regarding eye health in Punjab. The delegation also conversed about mutual cooperation regarding eyes, modern techniques in the treatment of eye disease and future programmes. The Chairman of the Foundation assured to further promote cooperation continuing in treatment of eye diseases.
The Secretary Health informed the delegation about the steps taken by Punjab government for the promotion of health sector and lauded the humanitarian services and cooperation of the Fred Hollows Foundation. On this occasion, Chairman of the Foundation presented a gift of book to Secretary Health. Director Fred Hollows Foundation Ann Porcino, Country Director Fred Hollows Pakistan Dr. Robina Jillani and other members of the delegation were also present on the occasion.
