Sheikh Zayed hospital signs MoU with Apollo Hospital of New Delhi

Lahore: A meeting of the management committee Sheikh Zayed Medical Complex was held under the chairmanship of Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar. Special Assistant to CM on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique, Justice ® Amir Raza, Chairman Planning and Development and Secretaries of Law, Health and Finance departments were present.

The meeting reviewed the quality of medical facilities being extended to the patients while approval was also given for overall budget of 1 billion 70 crore for year 2013-14 out of this amount Rs. 27 crore will be earmarked for medicines and 75 crore for machinery. The meeting was informed that transplant surgery is being successfully carried out in liver transplant department and after the signing of MoU with Apollo Hospital of Andhra Pradesh, New Delhi, India three transplant surgery have been conducted while team of Indian doctors will again visit on February 20. The committee directed hospital administration to fully benefit from the visit of foreign doctors as well as adopt measures to evolve its own system for transplant.
