The inaugural Mian Hamza Shahbaz Sharif Punjab Snooker Championship will be played here from February 18 to March 3 under the supervision of All Punjab Snooker and Billiard Association.
The association will also be organising the Khadam-i-Aala All Punjab Snooker Championship, which would be the second phase of the activity will be held from March 10 to 27.
“The prime objective of this activity is to identify new talent and groom it for future needs,” said Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Deputy Speaker and chairman organizing committee sports Punjab while talking to media during the announcement of the championship on Thursday.
He said the second phase of the event will be played in seven cities of the Punjab province from March 10. “It is the best way to engage youth towards sports and provide them with competitive snooker activity,” he asserted. The final will be played on March 27.
