Lahore: Voicing serious anger and anguish over the brutal killing of 18 youth in mysterious conditions during Bara Operation, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman has asked governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Barrister Masood Kausar to play his due role in bringing the assassins of the youth to justice.
In a letter written to the KPK governor, Imran Khan expressed dismay over the apathy over the silence of the Federal and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) governments for not taking action against those responsible for the killings of 18 citizens in Khyber Agency. PTI Chairman called upon the KPK governor Barrister Masood Kousar to conduct a thorough probe into the matter and bring the culprits to the book forthwith.
Imran Khan in the letter asked him that the alleged killing of 18 civilians by the government’s officials had triggered protests which had caused anger and fury among the masses. However, he added, the role played by the federal and the provincial governments in this regard had added to the misery of the affected families.
Imran Khan expressed his apprehension and said that such incidents hurt the public sentiments at large and the situation could lead to further chaos and turmoil in the country, hence, it was need of the hour to take action against the accused.
“I demand you to take serious notice of the issue and ensure a thorough probe into the happenings so as to bring the facts to the fore (in this regard) to ensure that justice be done with the victims’ families,” Imran asked the governor.
The PTI Chairman urged the governor to initiate investigation into the matter and give an exemplary punishment to the culprits so that no one could do dare to take law into his hands in future.
