Lahore: Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has said that the secretaries and heads of other institutions sending cases to Austerity Committee should ensure their participation in the meetings. He said that in case of engagements in matters of very important nature, they should send senior officers.
He said this while presiding over 34th meeting of Austerity Committee, here today. Secretary Agriculture, Secretaries of Auqaf, Education, I&C, Planning& Developments, Principal Secretary to Governor, Additional Secretary Information and other officers attended the meeting.
The meeting gave approval to two corolla XLI and one Suzuki Cultus for Governor’s Secretariat. Agriculture Department requested for vehicles and other equipments including furniture and computers for the offices of newly established Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture upon which Senior Advisor directed officers of Agriculture Department to settle the matters with Finance Department. The meeting also gave approval to the provision of plant and other machinery to the police department from its existing funds. The meeting on the request by DCO Layyah, also gave approval to three electric coolers and other equipment for schools upgraded from middle to high and directed to give final shape to the matters with Finance Department. The meeting also gave approval to the purchase of new furniture and other equipment for Government College Railway Road requested by Technical Educational and Vocational Authority. Similarly approval was also given for five XLI and two Suzuki Cultus for Punjab protocol. On the request of Higher Education Department, approval was also given for the purchase of necessary equipments for Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Faisalabad and Gujranwala.
The meeting also gave approval to the purchase of three vehicles for the Registrar, Treasurer and Controller Examination of Lahore College for Women University and office equipments and computers for Government Degree College Samanabad Faisalabad, Government Girls Degree College Sargodha and other colleges.
