Lahore: Hundreds of female students of KEMU protested today against the Punjab Govt for not providing funds to KEMU Admin to purchase FC college building of Ewing’s hall for girls to provide them with a suitable residence. They also demanded reduction in the college fees which has recently been raised from 43000 to 57000 per annum.
The admin of KE locked the gates of the university to stop media from entering the campus but later female students managed to open the gates and brought out a protest rally against the admin. Later, VC KEMU told the students that Govt is not releasing funds for purchasing the hostel for female students.
But, he still has kept a meeting of syndicate of the university tomorrow for finalizing the plan of purchase of Ewing’s hall for girls and final decision will be done after the meeting tomorrow. Students have also called their meeting to take a decision.
