Allama will be responsible for any untoward incident:Rana Sana

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Rana Sanaullah has said that long march of Maulana Tahir ul Qadri is not for the rights of the people but to create chaos and anarchy in the country. He said that as long as the long march would be peaceful, it will not be stopped, however, besides body search of the participants, all the vehicles in the long march would be checked. He said that despite serious threats of terrorism and stopping by the government, if Maulana insisted on long march, the responsibility of any untoward incident will lie with him. He said that Punjab government has put administration of the province on high alert, emergency has been imposed in all the hospitals and the leaves of the staff have been cancelled. He said that neither any decision of house arrest of Maulana Tahir ul Qadri has been made nor Punjab government has made any request to federal government to suspend the mobile service during long march.

He was addressing an important press conference with regard to long march of Tahir ul Qadri at 90-Shara-e-Quaid-e-Azam here today. Additional IG Anti Terrorism Department Mushtaq Sukhera, Commissioner Lahore Jawad Rafiq Malik, CCPO Lahore Aslam Tareen and Additional Secretary Information Tahir Hamdani were also present on the occasion. Rana Sanaullah said that Maulana Tahir ul Qadri is a tool of anti-state forces who earlier got sold the ornaments, plots and motorcycles by hoodwinking the innocent people in the name of useless long march against democracy and Pakistan and now wanted to get them killed in a terrorism incident and wants to further the anti-state agenda on their dead bodies. He said that the bright future of Pakistan depends on supremacy of constitution, rule of law and following the democracy and all institutions and entire nation is unison over it.

He said that in the past, people were deprived of their right of franchise in the name of Islamic democracy, real democracy or accountability. He said now when the entire nation is determined to give its verdict through power of vote, nefarious effort for creating anarchy is being made by staging a drama of reforms. He said that anti-state elements have sent Maulana Tahir ul Qadri for the accomplishment of conspiracy.

Rana Sanaullah said that Tahir ul Qadri’s protest is such a unique protest, charter of demand of which is not clear. He said that Tahir ul Qadri talks about implementation on electoral reforms but does not contact Chief Election Commissioner who has the power of reforms. He said that Maulana wants to set up an impartial caretaker government but does not give any proposal in this regard. Rana Sanaullah said that keeping in view high degree threats of terrorism with regard to long march, Maulana Tahir will be provided security more than the protocol standard of President and Prime Minister, however, it is impossible to provide such security to all participants of the long march. Replying to a question, Rana Sanaullah said that army or rangers can be called, if needed. He said that federal government has handled the matter of long march irresponsibly and its allies have made the situation more complicated due to their mischievous attitude. He said that Tahir ul Qadri is going to a suicide attack on Pakistan which is illegal (haram) according to sharia. He appealed to Maulana Tahir ul Qadri to cancel his anti-state long march.
