Lahore: Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that Altaf Hussain has distorted the facts in his speech and his remarks about Quaid-e-Azam have hurt the feelings of crores of Pakistanis. He said the fact is that when Quaid-e-Azam went to Britain to get education, Pakistan had not come into being. Therefore, saying that Quaid-e-Azam had got British citizenship is highly ridiculous, he added.
Senator Pervaiz Rashid said that Altaf Hussain has also distorted the facts about Nawaz Sharif. The fact is that Nawaz Sharif had not gone to Saudi Arabia at his own will but dictator Musharraf had exiled him. It is also a fact that Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif tried to return to Pakistan which was their legal and constitutional right and Supreme Court had also given a verdict in this regard but they were not only stopped for entering to Pakistan but were again sent abroad forcibly. Senator Pervaiz Rashid said Altaf Hussain should also have told that during the entire period of exile, Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif neither got citizenship of any other country nor used passport of any other country. Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif remained Pakistani citizens during exile and they never used passport of any other country except green passport of Pakistan.
