Lahore: Opposition Leader in National Assembly, Ch. Nisar Ali Khan has said the politics of wheeling and dealing and horse trading of Asif Ali Zardari is nearing its logical end and the spokesmen for Peoples Party have nothing to say except to level baseless and concocted allegations against the political opponents. He said appointment of the new governor of Punjab is also the result of a deal and is aimed at impacting forthcoming general elections as well as bolster the sagging the image of PPP but it will neither benefit South Punjab nor PPP. He said that Muslim League-N has no misunderstanding about the new Governor Punjab who could hardly be described as a Muslim Leaguer especially when his own political party has disowned him. He said that Muslim League-N will formally demand change of governor Punjab as well as all governors for the forthcoming elections. He said that when the existing government will automatically dissolve under the constitution before the elections, then how political governors would be able to retain their positions.
Commenting on the expected long march of Tahir ul Qadri, Ch. Nisar Ali Khan said he does not see Tahir ul Qadri has any role in Pakistani politics. He said that Tahir ul Qadri has tried his luck in politics a number of times but like Imran Khan, has been able to win only one seat and that too with the support of General Pervaiz Musharraf. He said that though Tahir ul Qadri has the capacity to gather people from different sources but he does not have the capability to get their votes.
He said that how can a person who has been absent from the political scene of the country for the last five years should suddenly reappear and bring about a change. He said that despite all these factors the jumping of the bandwagon of Tahir Ul Qadri by Imran Khan and MQM has exposed their real designs. He said it seems that after having failed to bring about revolution Imran Khan wants to enter into power corridors with the help of Tahir ul Qadri just as he tried with the help of Pervaiz Musharraf and General Pasha a few years ago.
He said it is surprising that MQM which has been an integral part of provincial as well as federal governments for the last five years has come out to take a long march against its own government. He said that nothing could be more absurd or ridiculous. He said that MQM, Imran Khan and Tahir ul Qadri who have been in the forefront in supporting Musharraf have again joined hands for the achievement of their narrow interests.
