Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif today visited Bilour House Peshawar to condole the martyrdom of Senior Minister Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa Bashir Ahmed Bilour in a bomb blast and expressed his heartfelt shock and grief with Bashir Ahmad Bilour’s family. Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Ch.Nisar Ahmad Khan, Senior Advisor Senator Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa and Senator Pervaiz Rashid accompanied him. The Chief Minister and other leaders of PML(N) offered Fateha for the departed soul. The Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and other leaders of PML(N) also expressed condolences with ANP leader Asfandyar Wali and Federal Railways Minister Ghulam Ahmed Bilour on the martyrdom of Bashir Ahmed Bilour.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif while paying tributes to the political services of Bashir Ahmed Bilour said that Bashir Ahmed Bilour always raised voice for truth and wanted to eliminate extremists from the country. Bashir Ahmed Bilour sacrificed his life but did not give up his mission, he added.
Later, while talking to media, the Chief Minister said that a national policy will have to be evolved with consensus against terrorism and extremism and the national leadership will have to unite over this important issue. He said that we will have to march forward with one voice against extremism for saving democracy. Replying to a question, Shahbaz Sharif said that general elections are utmost essential for the survival of the country and the nation and elections must be held on fixed time.
