Lahore: Central leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif MNA, has said bye-elections have proved that people do not consider trustworthy to any political party except PML-N and Nawaz Sharif is a popular leader throughout the country. He said that those who say murderer (Qatil) to each other, have now joined hands on one-point agenda of loot and plunder of national exchequer. He said that people will make such elements a history of the past by giving them crushing defeat in the coming elections.
He expressed these views while addressing a big public meeting on the occasion of laying foundation stone of 25-bed hospital, inauguration of cricket ground and Commerce College at Sabzazar Scheme, today. MNA Mian Marghoob Ahmed also addressed on this occasion. Members National and Provincial Assemblies and a large number of workers were also present on the occasion.
Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that during his visit to any district in bye-elections, he noted that people love Mian Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif and their hearts beat with the leadership of PML-N. He said that the people highly appreciate the mega projects launched by Shahbaz Sharif for their welfare. He said that people have fed-up with the loot and plunder of rulers in Islamabad and they are anxiously waiting for their ousting. He said that neither any institution nor people are safe from their loot. He said that corruption of Zardari gang, price-hike, unemployment and loadshedding has badly affected the masses. He said that corruption of trillions of rupees in rental powers has not only pushed our cities and villages into darkness but also halted the wheel of economy.
Earlier, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif also attended the ceremony of cutting Christmas cake with Christian prisoners at Central Jail Kot Lakhpat and distributed gifts among them. Prayers for security and prosperity of the country were also offered. Hamza Shahbaz Sharif also gave a cheque of financial assistance for Rs.30 lakh to the father of a warden, Tahir Iqbal who was martyred due to the firing of dacoits while taking salaries of Faisalabad jail employees a few days ago. Cheques for Rs.3 lakh each as financial assistant were also given to five wardens who were injured in this incident. He also inaugurated water filtration plant in the jail. IG Prisons Mian Farooq Najeib, Additional Secretary Home Dr. Shoaib Akbar, philanthropists, representatives of welfare organizations and Muslim prisoners were also present on the occasion.
