Lahore: Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister, Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri has said that Punjab government has taken revolutionary steps especially in education sector. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, by taking personal interest, has utilized all out resources for the promotion of education. He said that not only the students of Punjab but other provinces are also benefitting from these measures.
He said that it is the top priority of the Punjab government to use all possible recourses for the promotion of talent. Talented and brilliant students are guarantee to a bright future of the country, he added. He said had such steps been taken in the past, the situation would have been different today.
He expressed these views during a meeting with the delegation of top position holder girl and boy students all over Pakistan, at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Zaeem Qadri stressed upon the need for taking revolutionary measures in education sector for putting the country on the road to progress and making it Pakistan of Quaid and Iqbal. He said that Punjab government has paid special attention to the promotion of education during the last four and a half years. He said that programmes like Punjab Educational Endowment Fund, Daanish Schools, Laptops distribution and Punjab Vocational Training are unprecedented projects of Punjab government.
The students while thanking Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, said that if other provinces also have such leaders and approach, the ignorance could be eliminated from the whole country. He said that programmes like Daanish Schools are providing educational facilities to the deprived segment of the society. He said that steps of Punjab government in educational filed are worth emulating for other provinces.
Daanish Schools should be set up throughout the country so that the talented children of the poor families could benefit from the latest educational environment, he added. On this occasion, the students were apprised the details of the steps taken in education sector. Member Provincial Assembly Shaista Pervaiz Malik, Secretary Higher Education and DG Protocol were also present on the occasion.
