Big public meetings is not sign of popularity:Rana Sanaulla

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Law, Rana Sanaullah has said that holding big public meetings by any party does not mean that it is politically strong or enjoys the support of masses. He said that Tahir ul Qadri who, made efforts the whole year and held public meeting by spending Rs.25-30 crore, can also hold a bigger public meeting by spending Rs.50-60 crores.

He was talking to media in the premises of Punjab Assembly, here today. Rana Sanaullah Khan said that the public meeting of December 23, nullifies the public meeting of October 30. He said that the pawn played by establishment on October 30 has been captured and the objective of having hung parliament by the establishment is not being achieved. He said that the establishment neither wants ‘Change Khan’ to win nor Tahirl Qadri, and it only wants a hung parliament. He said that Tahir ul Qadri talked confused things in his address and he does not have any solid solution to the problems of the people. He said that all the political parties have rejected the agenda of Tahir ul Qadri.

Rana Sanaullah Khan said that the establishment should stop its game because holding free and transparent elections are in the best interest of the nation and the country. He said that the mood of public can be judged from the success of PML-N in the bye-elections. He asked how Tahir ul Qadri talks of poor people while he himself travels in three bullet proof vehicles with ten security guards. He said that the masses are not so simple to be hoodwinked by Tahir ul Qadri’s speech. He said that if Tahir ul Qadri has any agenda or manifesto, he should contest elections. He said that neither PML-N spent Rs.40-50 crore for holding public meetings in the past nor it will do so in future. He said that with the change of Governor, the workers of PPP will either leave the party or stop taking interest in party affairs. How the Peoples Party, which has appointed Manzoor Wattoo as its provincial president and Makhdoom Ahmad Mehmood as Governor, can be called Bhutto’s Party, he questioned?
